My [occasionally updated] takeoff (landing) page
I love travelling to see new faces, places, and spaces - although recently I’ve been trying to learn to be content with where I am, making the most of a given place and time, and making my current home feel new.
In any case, you can see where I’ve been here.
Viewing on laptop is strongly recommended - click on the expand box icon to see in fullscreen.

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions I get about the places I've been:
Q: What are your favourite places to visit?
Munich, Manchester, Portland, and Sibiu, Romania. I'd love to get married in Romania.
Q: Three favourite travel moments/highlights?
1. Walking from Berlin to Poland (the quaint city of Słubice, to be precise). h/t Sound of Music.
Being adopted as an unofficial protege by the founder and head chef of two-Michelin-starred Thai restaurant, a powerhouse of a woman who was the youngest-ever champion of Iron Chef Asia.
Eyes closed, listening to Bach with a cup of genmaicha in the most beautiful listening bar in Tokyo. Three walls were stacked with speakers, with the fourth being a shelf for vinyls.
Q: Where should I go see/eat/read?
Ah, I would love to share, but I take great pride in carefully curated experiences that are not fit for the Eyes of the Internet. Some gatekeeping is necessary. If you send me a message, however, I'm happy to send you recommendations.
Q: But, like, weren't you in school?
I believe in learning by doing. Within my first week of university I knew there was much more to be discovered, more people I wanted to meet, more things I wanted to try beyond campus. Most of my travels have been alongside research, full-time work, client projects, fundraising, and interviews.
Q: What's been your biggest learning?
The world feels much smaller than it is. Unless, of course, you're taking a flight from North America to Australia. What do you mean it's 26 hours?!
